About

About twenty years ago BBC Greater London Radio, then known as GLR, initiated a campaign to train young people from London in all areas of Radio Broadcasting. This was my first step into journalism and I’ve worked in the broadcast industry ever since. Starting as a freelancer, making packages for magazine programmes at GLR, BBC Radio Devon and Dorset, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4 etc, I now live between Brussels and London working as a freelance producer/journalist/presenter with clients including the European Space Agency and CNN World View..

CNN Report:

I also produced, directed and presented a weekly current affairs/cultural magazine programme for Belgium television for 7 years. This meant acting as the main anchor and interviewing anyone from an international politician to a local stripper. It also involved full control of editorial content, the capacity to organize the technical side of the programme to deadline and the ability to train and successfully manage a team of programme makers working in up to six different languages. But above all else it required knowing how to make international and European issues sexy and relevant.

TV Brussels Presenter Showreel:

The areas I cover are mainly European politics and the European institutions and Space mission science.

In addition I was recently commissioned to write the text for the book Life to The Beat, a Journalistic documentation of 40 years in the life of Belgian rock star Arno Hintjens. This included research, interviews with the subject and creating a narrative structure that suited the content.

My skillset:

  • Presenting to camera
  • Researching and writing scripts to deadlines
  • Voicing anything from news to corporate info ads
  • Producing TV reports/programmes
  • Directing camera crews and editors
  • Training people in all of the above areas
  • Writing lyrics for songs
  • Editing on FinalCut pro
